Focus is something I have trouble with out of my habit of mutli-tasking and due to having more than one project and business demanding my attention. While watching a tv segment from one of our recent network meeting attendees, I was reminded about the benefits of focus. The concept isn't new but the reminder was necessary.
Take one project and focus on it until completion or, at least, until you get to a point where some other input may be necessary and you need to wait for an outside circumstance or person to be able to continue. That is the only time when you should divert your attention to something else. The advice was useful. It caused me relax, to reflect and to start again and focus only on one activity until completion.
It is easy to become overwhelmed and not accomplish what is necessary when trying to do too much simultaneously. I was grateful for the reminder.
