We all have needs. The benefits of having a network of people is that they are a resource to be utilized. The problem lies in those who don't take advantage of this resource when they allow false pride to get in the way and not asking them for what they need help.
It seems to be OK for everyone in business to desire more business. What I find, however, is that many have need for help in the nuances of business and/or life and out of pride not mention their needs to those who can potentially help.
Out of fear to be perceived inadequate, some withhold the need for help from those that may have the experience to provide a solution because they don't want to lose the potential referral source.
Every business has had challenges. Their problems of not having enough business may not be a reflection of inadequacy in the service provided but in a marketing tactic or some other situation. By enrolling the perspective of someone in your network who may have shared the experience, could potentially turn your situation around without jeopardizing their viewing you as an effective, skilled or talented service provider.
It is better to enroll someone in your network who could potentially assist in a solution than continuing with the challenge.
Don't allow false pride deny you of the help you need.
