A member of my network wants to get a job in a particular company. I may not have been able to get her a personal introduction but found additional information about the inner workings in the company from a friend.
I was able to ascertain a name that might be useful within the company and can provide her that information as well but discovered that although she wants to get into the local operation, the company hiring is managed at their headquarters in another state.
I ascertained this information from a couple of different avenues and hope that this little bit of information will help her be further along in her efforts to get what she wants.
We don't always have to offer a big connection in networking. Sometimes we can provide insights, a direction or a lead that will help the desired outcome.
Every little bit helps. Offer what you can when you can. It all adds up in the end.
It's a beautifully wrtetin film about the drama filled court case involving the creators of Facebook. David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin surely did their research as you can tell within the first couple minutes of the picture. Not all is true though. The final scene isn't true, his girlfriend has a different name in real life, a Eduardo Saverin wasn't and never will be his best friend.
